Danish band Halshug (translates to ‘decapitate’, so watch yourselves!) certainly means business with its hard-hitting, 200-kilometres-an-hour crust punk d-beat hardcore. The trio pays a furious tribute to their rich K-town heritage and adds an abrasive modern stomp. With searing distortion, radical d-beat pace and screaming vocals, Halshug leaves no room for subtlety. If someone would say they have been raised by Discharge, Anti-Cimex and Wolfbrigade, we would believe that straight away!
The punks are fast becoming known within Europe’s hallowed DIY routes and enclaves. They have been all over the map and even been across the pond for some US gigs. Wherever they go they make an impact!
Halshug put out their debut album “Blodets bånd” in 2015 on the prestigious Southern Lord label. The follow-up “Sort Sind” was released in september 2016. The hard-hitting and uncompromised Danish steamroller is ready for Pitfest!
