Legendary British metal band Cradle of Filth has been confirmed as our headliner for Saturday 12 July 2025. It will be their only Dutch festival show of 2025!

With their unique mix of black, gothic and symphonic metal, Cradle of Filth has built up an iconic status worldwide and will provide a spectacular and dark show at Pitfest. Led by frontman Dani Filth, the band will bring an intense and compelling performance, full of theatrical energy, epic compositions and a grim, mystical atmosphere. Expect a set full of classics such as "Her Ghost in the Fog" and "Nymphetamine", but also new gems from their most recent work.

In addition, the almost equally legendary Carnivore AD will be added to the line-up. This American band, founded by members of the original Carnivore, brings raw and uncompromising old-school metal back to the stage.

Like we told you earlier, the Thursday evening of Pitfest would kick off with three tribute bands. This year, we are taking a different approach. Instead, 3 talented local bands from our own Drenthe will be put in the spotlight. Two of them were also announced today, namely Mouldwarp (average age 17, from Emmen) and For I Have Sinned from Schoonebeek. Facing The Madness from Hoogeveen was already announced at an earlier stage.
